一、简 况
张中秋，男，汉族，1962年生，法学博士，江苏省南京市溧水县人；现为教育部人文社会科学重点研究基地·中国政法大学法律史学研究中心常务副主任（主持工作），中国政法大学法学院副院长（兼），教授，博士生导师。1980―1984年在上海华东政法学院攻读法学本科，获法学学士学位；1984―1987年在北京中国政法大学研究生院攻读硕士研究生，获法学硕士学位；1996―1998年在北京中国政法大学研究生院攻读博士研究生，获法学博士学位；1986―2003年在南京大学法学院任教，兼任南京大学亚太法研究所所长，主持编辑《南京大学法律评论》。1989年晋升为讲师，1995年晋升为副教授，1997年破格晋升为教授。曾应邀赴美国、德国、法国、日本、台湾和香港等地参加学术会议和讲学。发表论文60余篇，其中在美、德、日、韩、法等国及台湾地区学术刊物上发表论文多篇；出版著作10部，其中专著4部。获教育部和国家级学术研究奖4项，其中个人奖2项，合作奖2项。研究方向为法律文化，关注的基本课题是中国法律文化原理。
二、科研项目
1、主持国家“七五”、“八五”哲学社会科学重点项目“中国法制通史”（十卷本）第四卷《隋唐法制史》的编撰工作。

1、张中秋著：《中西法律文化比较研究》 ，1995年12月获中华人民共和国教育委员会主办的“首届全国高等学校人文社会科学研究优秀成果”二等奖；2002年入选《中国人文社会科学博士硕士文库·法学卷》（续编），浙江教育出版社2005年版。
2、张中秋著：《法律与经济：传统中国经济的法律分析》（第一卷） ，1997年12月获中国社会科学院与团中央联合主办的“第二届全国青年优秀社会科学成果”最高奖“优秀专著奖”；1998年获“南京大学首届人文社会科学优秀成果”一等奖。
3、《中国法制通史》（10卷本），2000年获“第十二届中国图书奖”，2003年获“第三届全国高校人文社会科学研究优秀成果”一等奖，本人主持并合著第4卷《隋唐法制史》。

Dr.Zhang Zhongqiu was born in 1962 Lishui County of Nanjing, capital of East China’s Jiangsu Province. He got his Ph.D in 1998 after three years of study and research at China University of Politics and Law, under the guidance of his renowned supervisor Professor Zhang Jinfan. Before that, he started his study in legal science in 1980 at East Chinas Politics and Law College in Shanghai and got his bachelor’s degree in 1984. The following three years were spent for the degree of Master of Legal Science at China University of Politics and Law. Meanwhile, he was employed by Nanjing University Law School in 1986 and was promoted lecture in 1989, associate professor in 1995 and professor in 1997.
Dr.Zhang is executive director of the Research Center of Legal History in China University of Politics and Law, and sits on the Academic and Degree Committee of the university. As a leading professor in the field of jurisprudence and legal history, he has been standing council member of China Legal History and Legal Culture society. He is also council member of China Jurisprudence Society. Nevertheless, his fame rests such as International Convention of Asia Scholars, Asian Jurisprudence Association and the Oriental Legal History Society of Japan.
Putting emphasis on academic exchanges, Dr. Zhang has chaired many state-level conference and visited many foreign institutes, including the Southwest University of the U.S., Berlin Liberty University of Germany, Hong Kong University, Tokyo University and Oriental Culture Research Institute of Japan. He is also entitled as part-time professor of a couple of universities and research institutes, such as Jilin University Theoretical Legal Science Research Center and Tinghua University Rule of Law and Human Rights Protection Research Center.
Dr. Zhang teaches various including Jurisprudence, Economic Legal Tradition of China and Legal Culture. He has been the organizer of some key social science projects of the country, for instance, the editing of the Tang Dynasties Volume of General Legal History of China as well as a comparative study on the Legal Culture of China and the West.
Dr. Zhang has published over 60 papers and 9 books, including A Comparative Study on the Legal Culture of China and the West that won him top prize awarded by the Ministry of Education in 1995. His other books, such as Law and Economy：Legal Analysis on Traditional Chinese Economy（I Volume）and General Legal History of China（Tang Dynasties Volume）have also brought him national- level prize .His resent works include Jurisprudence：History, Theory and Operation of Law（co-author）,An Aspect of Chinese Law：Chinese Law in Foreigners’Eyes（translator and editor）,Report on Economic and Civil Laws of the Tang Dynasty, and Legal Culture from the Comparative Standpoint. He will continue to focus his study on special subjects of legal culture and probe into traditional Chinese legal philosophy.
